Privacy declaration Comenius (part of Freia Holding B.V.)

In this privacy statement, Comenius Leergangen, based in (3732 HK) De Bilt at Dorpsstraat Vo Steenstraat 74, with Chamber of Commerce number 06076937 (hereinafter ‘Comenius’), explains which personal data Comenius collects and processes, for which purposes this data is processed and what its cookie policy is.

General

Comenius respects the privacy of all visitors to its website https://www.comeniusleadership.nl, its (potential) clients and other (potential) clients. Personal data provided to Comenius are treated with the utmost care and are adequately secured. Your data will never be provided to third parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the assignment for you as participant/customer (e.g. a participant list for our teachers) or unless it is required by law. In all cases, Comenius observes the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).

Personal data

As part of the services provided by Comenius, or if you have any other contact with Comenius, for example by e-mail or via the contact form on the Comenius website, Comenius records the personal data provided by you or your employer.

Comenius stores and processes only the personal data which you or your employer provide. These include your name, address and other contact details, details concerning the course in which you have expressed an interest and/or have participated, and payment details. In addition, data may be processed concerning your intake/admission, personality test, attendance, study and/or examination results and (interim) evaluation. It is also possible that photographs will be processed.

Purposes for which your data are processed

Comenius uses your data for the following purposes, among others:

• the performance of all work relating to your participation in a course, event or other activity offered by Comenius;
• carrying out analyses for the purpose of improving our services;
• certification and accreditation;
• the inclusion of your certification in our external registers;
• adding atmosphere to our content by means of photographs. These processes are always voluntary and are (obviously) not used for other purposes;
• to comply with legislation and regulations.

Comenius also informs interested parties about its services by means of a newsletter. Each newsletter contains a link by which you can unsubscribe. The subscriber database of the newsletter is not provided to third parties. Your personal data will be made available to other educational institutions of Freia Holding B.V.* in order to optimise our services to you. The same privacy statement applies to all Freia Holding B.V. training institutes.

*The training organisations of Freia Holding B.V. are: AOG School of Management, Comenius, Emmius School for Work and Meaning, TSM Business School, TSM Europe, Horizon | The Backbone Company, Van Harte & Lingsma and NIVE Opleidingen.

Your data will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it. Under no circumstances will your data be provided to third parties without your express permission unless this is necessary within the framework of the execution of the agreement with Comenius or if this is required by law.

Retention period

Your personal data will be kept as long as Comenius believes that the nature of the contact is necessary for the execution of its services or as long as required by law. Results and diplomas obtained by participants will be permanently stored, unless a participant explicitly requests removal (and as far as this is not in conflict with legal obligations). You have the option of viewing the Comenius website without sharing any personal data with Comenius by turning off cookies.

Third party websites

This privacy statement does not apply to third party websites which are connected to this website by means of links/buttons, such as the social media buttons. Comenius cannot guarantee that these third parties will handle your personal data in a reliable or safe manner. Comenius advises you to read the privacy statements of these websites.
